Established in 1998, the NuStep Pinnacle Award is a national award that recognizes senior organizations with outstanding whole-person wellness programming. Whole-person wellness, a multi-dimensional, interdependent model, promotes self-responsibility for wellness in all dimensions of one’s life including:
- Emotional
- Environmental
- Intellectual
- Physical
- Social
- Spiritual
- Vocational
The Pinnacle is awarded to the senior living community and senior center that best demonstrate a culture of whole-person wellness throughout their organizations. The two winning organizations receive:
- NuStep T5XR Recumbent Cross Trainer
- On-site award presentation by NuStep Vice President of Sales and Marketing
- Airfare and two-night hotel stay at the International Council on Active Aging (ICAA) Conference held December 1-3, 2011 in Orlando, FL.
- Recognition at the ICAA Conference
- Exposure in industry publications
The two Pinnacle Award divisions are defined as:
Senior Living Community
Any whole-person wellness program offered in the following settings: independent living communities, assisted living communities, skilled nursing centers or memory care centers.
Senior Center
Any whole-person wellness program catering to an older adult population (50+) offered in the following settings: senior centers, community centers, parks and recreation centers, etc.
One winner will be chosen in each division.
