Inside NuStep: PressNUSTEP AND HEART AND LUNG FOUNDATION PRESENT SECOND ANNUAL HEART & LUNG GAMES NuStep Inc. recently teamed with the Heart and Lung Foundation of the American Association of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation to present the Second International Heart and Lung Games, May 26-28, 2006, in Chicago, Ill. Cardiopulmonary rehabilitation programs from around the world, including Italy, Germany and the United Kingdom, send teams to participate in the annual International Heart and Lung Games. The event features competition in a variety of activities, including walking, biking, rowing and a timed race using the NuStep TRS 4000. "It is a privilege to sponsor the Heart and Lung Games, designed especially for those recovering from a heart attack or similar ailment," said Steve Sarns, NuStep vice president of sales and marketing. "NuStep shares and supports the goal of the Heart and Lung Games: To enable patients to become competitors, helping them prove to themselves that it is possible to come back from a serious medical condition strong and sometimes even more healthy than before." The NuStep TRS 4000 has long been identified as a critical tool for cardiopulmonary rehabilitation. By delivering multiple resistance options, the NuStep TRS 4000 meets the aerobic fitness needs of a wide variety of people, especially those in cardiac, stroke or other rehabilitation programs. "NuStep's mission is to transform lives," Sarns continued. "The Heart and Lung Games provide a visible and tangible outlet to display remarkable transformation in overall health and wellness." Participants in the Heart and Lung Games have the opportunity to compete in a NuStep-oriented event where they will be asked to predict how much time it will take to reach either 500 or 1000 steps.
