NuStep T5XR

ANN ARBOR, MI - Contestants on the upcoming season of the popular NBC show “The Biggest Loser” will be working out on the NuStep T5XR Recumbent Cross Trainer in their competition to lose the most weight and earn a $250,000 grand prize.

Season 9 of the show “The Biggest Loser: Couples” - which premiered January 5, 2010 and airs Tuesday evenings at 8/7c on NBC - features 11 teams of two comprised of spouses, parent and adult child, siblings, and cousins. The program has five contestants who weigh over 400 pounds, one of whom weighs 526 pounds - a first in “Biggest Loser” history - prompting producers of the show to approach NuStep about giving the show a number of T5XR recumbent cross trainers for these contestants.

The T5XR, which earned the 2009 Gold Medical Design Excellence Award for rehabilitative and assisted technology products, was designed to provide safe, adaptive and effective exercise for users of virtually all function levels. With a 600 pound weight capacity, a low step-through design, an optional oversized seat and low impact, total body workout, the T5XR is a sound choice for larger, heavier users.

“We’re excited to be associated with “The Biggest Loser” and are proud to offer their contestants and others struggling with weight issues, a positive exercise experience that they can enjoy from the beginning and throughout their weight loss journey,” said Dan Brady, Consumer Marketing Manager at NuStep, Inc.
