NuStep Partners with Heart and Lung Foundation to Present Second Annual Heart & Lung Games
Cardiopulmonary rehabilitation programs from around the world, including Italy, Germany and the United Kingdom, send teams to participate in the annual International Heart and Lung Games. The event features competition in a variety of activities, including walking, biking, rowing and a timed race using the NuStep TRS 4000.
The NuStep TRS 4000 has long been identified as a vital tool for cardiopulmonary rehabilitation. By delivering multiple resistance options, the NuStep TRS 4000 meets the aerobic fitness needs of a wide variety of people, especially those in cardiac, stroke or other rehabilitation programs. Participants in the Heart and Lung Games have the opportunity to compete in a NuStep-oriented event where they will be asked to predict how much time it will take to reach either 500 or 1000 steps. “The Heart and Lung Foundation appreciates the support of NuStep and other sponsors, without which the Games would not be possible,” said Heart and Lung Games committee chair, F. Stuart Sanders, M.D. “The motto of the Games is to restore the joy of sports; it’s incredibly rewarding to see cardiopulmonary patients enjoying athletics again.” The Second International Heart and Lung Games will be held at William Rainey Harper College.
