NuStep Announces 2006 Pinnacle Award WinnersSteve Sarns, vice president of sales and marketing for NuStep, recently presented the 2006 Pinnacle Awards to The Wellness Connection at Glacier Hills, Ann Arbor, Mich. and to Campbell County Senior Center, Highland Heights, Ky. “This year’s Pinnacle Award winners truly represent innovation, community involvement, motivation and a healthier lifestyle,” said Steve Sarns. “The Wellness Connection and Campbell County Senior Center excel in senior care and wellness. Their dedication and commitment to helping seniors live extraordinary lives are models for other similar organizations around the nation.” The NuStep Pinnacle Award, now in its eighth year, is presented for excellence in wellness programming for senior adults in two categories: Senior Wellness/Fitness Programming and Senior Living Community.
"Glacier Hills is thrilled to be recognized for its commitment to the wellness of its residents and staff,” said Ray Rabidoux, president and CEO at Glacier Hills Retirement Community. “Glacier Hills’s staff and board of directors joined me in 2001 in embarking on the wellness journey and the results have been heartening. I hope that increasing numbers of retirement communities across the country will embrace a commitment to wellness as an integral part of resident life."
“The Campbell County Senior Center’s goal is to guide individuals on their personal wellness journey. The center offers many resources to enhance, improve and balance all wellness dimensions,” said Amy Roberto, wellness coordinator at Campbell County Senior Center. “Its success is due to members taking ownership of the program.” NuStep’s Pinnacle Award was among the first to acknowledge and reward organizations that offer high quality programs and wellness facilities for older adults. The award promotes the importance of actively managing fitness and wellness as we age and strives to motivate seniors’ organizations to maximize their health and wellness programs. |
