Inclusive. Accessible. Effective.

The YMCA’s dedication to healthy living and social responsibility has long strengthened the communities it serves. At NuStep, we support those same values through the design of inclusive, life-changing fitness equipment that promotes exercise, continued rehabilitation and active aging. We design our products to provide a positive impact regardless of age or functional ability.  From athletes who want a challenging a workout to those trying to lose weight, living with limited mobility, or recovering from an injury or surgery – NuStep can help support their exercise needs.

Helping your members meet their full fitness potential is possible with NuStep products. Our team is dedicated to bringing inclusive and accessible fitness equipment to your community because we believe in the importance of Movement for Every Body.

T6 Recumbent Cross Trainers

Designed for accessibility, built for fitness. The T6 represents the next generation of inclusive fitness equipment. The low impact, total-body cardio and strength workout accommodates members of virtually any size, fitness level or functional ability and supports their progress during every workout.

UE8 Upper Body Ergometer

The UE8 is redefining accessibility with its innovative swivel drive train – providing barrier-free access to exercise from three positions: seated, standing and from a wheelchair – without seat removal.  Members can build upper body strength and cardiovascular endurance while monitoring their performance in real time with integrated force sensor technology.

RB8 Recumbent Bike

Engineered for inclusivity, optimized for exercise. This lower body cardio and strength workout accommodates a wide range of members and helps them progress on their fitness journey. Engaging workout programs and real-time biofeedback, using integrated sensors that measure individual limb force, enhance their experience.

The NuStep Recumbent Trainer provides a safe and supportive way to transition from physical therapy to independent exercise for our members at the Cranston YMCA. Its seated, low-impact design supports natural movement while building strength, endurance, and confidence. For individuals who still need stability and joint support, the NuStep serves as an important bridge between rehabilitation and regular fitness. We’ve seen firsthand how equipment like this can help members build confidence, maintain independence, and feel fully included in the Y community. NuStep helps make fitness more accessible, and that’s something we deeply value.

Regional Health and Wellness Director, Cranston YMCA

I utilize our NuStep Cross trainer (T6MAX) daily. It is my go-to warm-up for each of my clients. I work with people with physical disabilities, and I appreciate how much the adaptations for the machine assist with its accessibility. The ability to turn the seat to allow for a smoother transfer, as well as the leg brace accessory pieces, allow for my clients with partial or complete paralysis to exercise safely and effectively! A bonus is the nice views you can set during your workout. So many of my clients love this feature and appreciate not just having to stare at numbers the whole time.

We also have the Upper Body Ergometer. This was a new machine to me, but I love the ability to swing the ergometer to the side and allow somebody who uses a wheelchair to stay in their seat and still get a great cardio workout! Additionally, both pieces of equipment have a deep and wide seat base. I appreciate this as it allows everyone to feel safe and secure when using it, even if they have paralysis or balance impairments.

Overall, we love our NuStep equipment here at the ACCESS to Exercise program!
