NuStep Unveils New StrideLock Feature

March 30, 2015

ANN ARBOR, MICH. – March 30, 2015 – NuStep, Inc., a leader in inclusive fitness, is pleased to introduce StrideLock™, a new feature designed to enhance the safety of NuStep recumbent cross trainers and promote greater ease of use for NuStep users.

The StrideLock feature, which will be standard on all of the NuStep recumbent cross trainer models, allows users to lock the arm handles and foot pedals with the push of a button. The locking mechanism, which was developed in response to customer feedback, keeps the handles and pedals securely in place to help facilitate easier transfers.

Useful in physical therapy, rehabilitation and senior living settings where clients frequently require assistance getting on and off the NuStep, StrideLock also enhances a sense of safety and stability for clients, including those with mobility issues, who want to exercise independently.

“As an advocate of inclusive fitness, NuStep is always seeking ways to enhance the accessibility of our products,” says NuStep Vice President of Sales and Marketing Steve Sarns. “The most important way for us to accomplish this is by connecting with our customers to get their feedback and insights about our products.

“That feedback,” adds Sarns, “helped us recognize an opportunity to improve our products and spearheaded the development of the StrideLock feature.”
