Coming Back To Exercise After Vacation? Take it Slow.

Vacation was great. Lots of fun. Now it’s back to reality. I know this is going to sound odd, but if you took time off from exercise during your vacation, it’s not a good idea to try to pick up where you left off when you return. When you come back to exercise after a vacation, the best idea is to take it slow.

Here’s why. If you try to go back to the same intensity or length of your NuStep workout immediately after you return, you run the risk of injury. And we all know what that means. More time away from exercise while you recover. I’ve been there. The next thing you know, months have passed and you’ve stopped exercising altogether. Now, that’s discouraging.

Easing Back Into Your Healthy Habits

I suggest that you ease back into your post-vacation exercise routine. Remember, it took a while to build up to that pre-vacation level, so give yourself the time to get back into a consistent routine and your body will thank you.

Another reason to take it slow? Diet and sleep habits often get shortchanged when you’re on vacation. Remember, these are things that help fuel your workouts. So, after vacation, nurture your body with nutritious foods and plenty of sleep.

Bottom line, be patient with yourself as you get back into your healthy habits. As I said before, I am not in the judging game. I’m in the helping game.

I’m happy to say that I am back into the flow of my normal workout routine. In fact, it’s time for my NuStep workout. I have to keep myself on track too!

Circle Of Inspiration

Finally, I’d like to thank everyone for all of your support when I post about my workouts on my NuStep. I appreciate it. And, I’m so glad to know that by sharing my story I am helping to inspire and motivate you.

Having that extra motivation is what helps to keep me going. We all need a support system when it comes to staying on track with our weight loss and fitness goals

This is what it’s all about. This circle of inspiration. We are all feeding off each other’s positive energy to keep us motivated.

Every single “like” or “comment,” I receive on my blog post is important to me. I read and respond to all of them and if I can help you, I will. That’s why I encourage questions and comments because we will all benefit from them.
