Hi Everyone,

Motivation is an important tool. It’s what helps propel us forward so that we can achieve our future dreams and goals. Most of time we focus on the future, forgetting that it’s what we do every single day that keeps us on track to achieving our long term goals.

Achieving goals is a step-by-step process that doesn’t happen overnight, that’s why we have to find something that motivates us to do what we need to right here and now.

There aren’t many guarantees in life, but I guarantee that you need to find the source of your daily motivation in order to accomplish your goals.

That’s how I was able to achieve what I did when I was on The Biggest Loser. What motivated me was accepting that I had to take things step-by-step and remember that what I did today would influence my tomorrow. Now I focus on my daily motivation when I’m riding my NuStep.

This week, I would really like to challenge you to focus on how you can motivate yourself on a daily basis.

For me, I need to remind myself each day why I want to achieve my personal goals and then come up with a plan for that day. For example, my goals are to lose weight, become healthier and reduce stress.

Lose Weight– I ask myself: Why do you want to lose weight? Then I ask: What are you going to do today to make that happen? How will I stick with making healthy food choices? What one thing can I do today that will help me become more disciplined?

Become Healthier– I ask myself: Why do you want to be healthier? Then I ask: What steps are you going to take today to be healthier? What wise decision can I make today to be healthier tomorrow?

Reduce Stress– I ask myself: Why do I need to reduce stress? Then I ask: What is one thing I can do today that will reduce my stress?

It is important to focus on what motivates us daily so that we can take control of our lives and control what lies ahead for us in the future.

Let’s take those small methodical steps that will help us accomplish our goals.

“It’s not what you intend to do, that’s going to make things happen. It’s what you are doing that will make it happen.”
