When Working Out, What You Wear Matters

Having the right clothes during a workout can make all the difference in the world. You have to dress the part. You’d never go to The Grammys dressed in jeans and a T-shirt would you? So why workout in baggy, bunchy, heavy cotton?!

When you are working out it is important to be dressed in what works for your body and for the exercise you’re doing. I have different styles of clothes for different workouts. When I run or bike I like to wear cropped pants and a tank. When I do yoga I like long pants and a tank. All of my workout gear is very moisture wicking. I sweat a lot and like to stay dry and fresh.

If you’re not comfortable in tight workout clothes, no worries, I’m not either! It’s all about the material of the clothing. You can still purchase loose fit clothing and have it be quality material. I stay away from cottons when I workout because cotton holds sweat and bacteria and your workout clothes will soon hold on to that sweat and smell. There is a lot of great quality workout gear out there that’s definitely worth the investment. There are price points for everyone’s budget, but I personally like to spend a little bit more on my workout clothes and really invest in cute and comfy outfits that are also moisture wicking and made with a special material that is antibacterial and anti-stink!

I know when I go out and buy new clothes it makes me feel great and I can’t wait for my next workout. In my training schedule it actually says “go buy new workout gear” so I mentally feel better and stay motivated. I also love buying all the bright colors! It makes me stand out and lets everyone know that I am working out and treating my body well. I love being comfortable when I workout and think everyone should sweat in what they love!
